The Laporte Triathlon was this weekend.
There were 495 triathletes and Steve was 24th overall!!!
He's psyching up for his next triathlon in Loveland, Colorado on September 26th. He'll have a week to climatize in Aspen while he attends a conference and he'll move into the bottom of the next age bracket for a little more of a competitive edge.
The Jamis "Comet" is his bike. The Comet Crew, yours truly, faithfully follows to cheer him on.
Um, where is everybody else? Either Steve smoked them or he is DFL.

Oh sure there are always people who doubt the pictures. I am sorry no one else was around me. Next time I will stop and wait for someone to catch up so Erin can take a picture. The 24th place overall was a combination of a 27th place in the swim, 35th in the bike and a disappointing 56th place in the run. There was a time when I thought the run was my best event. Guess times have changed.
Just wish the other people would get old faster.
