Nap Attack

Duke had a busy, busy day. We left for the dentist at about 1:30, ran a few errands and then went to see the vet for the first time. He enjoyed the car ride and every time I came back to the car he was stretched out in the driver's seat snoozing and enjoying the autumn sun.

At the vet he weighed in at a whopping 1.5 pounds and I am certain that he has doubled in size since we adopted him last week.
Next, we stopped by the Y and then the school where he attracted a crowd like a celebrity. He is quickly winning Daisy's heart and every other man, woman and child that he sees. At school, he was passed between no less than 40 hands and never stopped purring.

We finally got home at 6 o'clock. I had several bags to carry in from the car, so I loaded up my arms and tossed Duke in my canvas tote to carry him into the house. Several minutes later when I returned with the rest of my things, this is what I found.

I quickly snapped the photo and then dashed off to Sarah's volleyball game. When I came back home at 9, he was STILL THERE and still pretty groggy.
